Our desire is that we, and you, should become logs in the midst of
God’s holy fire. We don’t care how spectacular you look, but we
definitely want you to produce warmth and light to transform your
world over the long term.
We want God’s
fire to be properly kindled. This is what we work towards.
Hence our mission statement at “Kindling Ministries”:
“Every heart aflame”
This is our prayer for you; this is what we labour towards, with the
help of the Holy Spirit.

Our Vision |
|
It only takes a spark to get a fire going ... very true. But
how long before the fire burns itself out and you have to
re-light it?
Jesus said: "I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how
I wish it were already kindled!" (Lk. 12:49 NIV). According
to this text, it is not the spark that is lacking – the Holy
Spirit will surely provide this – but the kindling of the
fire to ensure that it burns continuously.
Fire is symbolic of the love and power of God to transform
individuals, communities, nations. Fire burns; fire changes;
God wants to do this in your world.
Kindling a fire involves arranging different sorts of
materials for best effect. Some materials, such as paper or
grass, burn quickly and spectacularly, but soon burn out.
Others such as large logs, burn long and hard, but take a
lot of effort to get alight in the first instance.
"Kindling Ministries" is about preparing the hearts and
minds of God’s people so that the fire of God can burn in
them fiercely, powerfully ... and continuously. For the rest
of your life, in fact.
Have you ever looked intently at a log burning in the middle
of a well-kindled fire? It doesn’t look spectacular, it just
glows a little. But deep within, an intense flame is slowly
and effectively consuming the wood from the inside out,
generating huge amounts of light and warmth for those around
it.
