Our desire is that we, and you, should become logs in the midst of
God’s holy fire. We don’t care how spectacular you look, but we
definitely want you to produce warmth and light to transform your
world over the long term.
We want God’s
fire to be properly kindled. This is what we work towards.
Hence our mission statement at “Kindling Ministries”:
“Every heart aflame”
This is our prayer for you; this is what we labour towards, with the
help of the Holy Spirit.

The church has a
holy calling to be a prophetic body - ministering the
presence of God, testifying the word of God, and acting
consistently with that message - in a world of darkness.
How do we ensure that we understand and put into
practice this glorious destiny?

We have a destiny! |
|
Our
destiny according to Scripture as believers in Jesus
is to be a prophetic body, but what does this mean? |

Prophetic body or
religion? |
|
The
primary identifier of believers is not whether we
believe certain things about God (which defines a
religion), but the seal of God's Holy Spirit (which
defines a prophetic body). |
|

3.
The church "off-message" |
|
The
primary role of believers is to preach the message
God has given us fearlessly and faithfully.
This is a message of love expressed through
forgiveness, and the need for all people to be
reconciled to God by surrendering their self-life to
Jesus before this world (and all who cling to it)
are destroyed by fire. If we compromise on
this key message, we can expect to receive the
judgment of false prophets. |

4.
The hypocritical church |
|
The
sin of religious hypocrisy is the most damnable of
all sins, totally destroying the prophetic witness
of any believers who exhibit it or of any church
body that tolerates them. |
|
|
5.
The anti-prophetic history
of the visible church |
|
The
4th century Church swapped its role as a prophetic
body for the sake of greater worldly power and
position, and greater opportunities to influence
society for good; but by so doing, they compromised
the one condition necessary to leading people to
salvation. |

The prophetic church and
worldly power |
|
It
is good for God's people to be involved in worldly
politics, but there are boundaries we cannot cross
without losing our prophetic identity. |
